Have you ever wondered why we believe in God or some supreme power? In my opinion, the truth is that there is no God, no supreme power sitting above us. But still, this belief is necessary. Because humans don’t want to feel alone in the toughest times of their lives. When nothing seems to be in control, this belief gives us emotional support, a feeling that “someone is there” standing by our side.

And not just God, even the concept of karma exists for the same reason. To be honest, karma is nothing either. It’s just a psychological trick created by humans so that people fear doing wrong. The idea of “what goes around, comes around” became popular just to make people believe that every bad action has consequences. In reality, nothing like that happens. But humans feel that if this concept didn’t exist, the world would be full of chaos.

All these things—God, karma, heaven, hell—were created by humans. And they themselves started believing in them. Why? Because every species, including humans, wants to stretch its survival for as long as possible. For early humans, this was a kind of survival instinct that helped them maintain moral values and order.

But the truth is, none of this is real. It has been said so many times, repeated so often, that now it feels like the truth. But in reality, it’s all just an illusion—a story that humans created for their own convenience. And maybe, without this story, we would never have been as civilized as we are today.
