Level of Difficulty: 1
Many people are intimidated by ebay's complicated system. You can help
people sell their stuff and charge a commission once the item sells, or you could
also charge by the hour, for example $10 dollars an hour. Ebay is a virtual
goldmine if you have the time and patience to learn a few of the power sellers
tricks.
Instructions:
Step 1) Think Senior Citizens!
I'll bet there are lots of people you know who have stuff they would be
willing to let you sell. Especially elderly people who aren't computer literate.
Just think of all the piles of money lying around! You would be doing a great
service by helping elderly people get rid of their junk and padding their bank
account at the same time.
Or if you go to craft sales, do you notice how many elderly people are selling
their goods? I bet you could help a lot of them to sell their handmade treasures
on the website www.etsy.com! This is similar to assisting people with eBay –
only you list one of a kind, hand-made items on www.etsy for elderly artisans
who are uncomfortable with using the Internet. You can sell either handmade
items or vintage (20 years or older) items on this site.
You could also setup a “shop” out of your garage to accept goods from those
who can't or don't know how to list it themselves. Yes, a physical shop. There
are lots of them springing up in big cities. The operation is simple. You take
something in from somebody, sell it on ebay or Etsy and retain a percentage for
your efforts.
Step 2) Remember, ebooks are great sellers on Ebay.
You could also help people write and make money with an ebook on:
How to Make Money With Your Own Clothing Line
How To Design $100 Dollar Bead Jewelry
How to Market & Sell Your Home-Made Salsa
Etc.
